About Modern Electric
Built on Experience. Grounded in Integrity.
Modern Electric has been serving Wilmington, MA and the surrounding communities for over 15 years

We’re not a franchise.
We’re not a “guy in a van.”

We’re a licensed, insured electrical company built on doing things the right way, no matter what.

Owner Danny Resendes started Modern Electric with a simple belief:
If you represent yourself well, treat customers with respect, explain what’s happening clearly, and price the work fairly - you’ll make homeowners and businesses very happy.

That’s still how we operate today.1

When You Call Modern Electric
You’re not hiring a random technician.

You’re hiring a company that:
-
Cares about safety
-
Understands the full permitting process
-
Prices work fairly
-
Explains what’s happening
-
Stands behind its work
-
Has been serving the area for over 15 years
We’re here to solve the problem the right way.

No shortcuts.
No gimmicks.
Just solid electrical work, done properly.

We Believe in Doing the Right Thing (Even If It Costs Us)
Sometimes that means talking to a homeowner through simple troubleshooting over the phone before scheduling a service call.

-
If your smoke detectors are chirping, we might ask:
-
Have you tested them?
-
Have you replaced the batteries?
Because if you can fix it yourself safely, we’ll tell you
We don’t believe in charging for something you don’t need.

But when we do come out, we come prepared to solve the problem properly, and permanently.
There will always be someone willing to bid 30%, 40%, even 50% less.
We’ve seen it firsthand.

The difference usually shows up in:
- Corners being cut
- Permits not being handled correctly
- Incomplete communication with utility companies
- Delays due to inspection failures
- Sloppy wiring practices that create long-term risk
Improper installation creates resistance. Resistance creates heat. Heat creates danger.
We refuse to jeopardize someone’s safety just to win a bid.
Whether a permit is required or not, we install everything to code, every time
If something we installed fails, we stand behind our work and fix it.
We don’t disappear. We answer the phone. We show up.

It’s Not Just Pulling Wires
Many people think electrical work is simple, just running wire and installing fixtures.

But what most homeowners and business owners never see is the behind-the-scenes coordination:
-
Pulling permits correctly
-
Working with inspectors
-
Communicating with utility companies
-
Coordinating with engineers and contractors
-
Ensuring inspections pass the first time
We’ve taken over projects where another electrician couldn’t finish the job because they didn’t understand the process.

Electrical work isn’t just installation.
It’s knowledge, planning, and accountability.

That’s the professionalism we bring.

Service-Focused. Community-Based.
While we handle residential projects, renovations, and light commercial work, we’re especially focused on service calls - the everyday issues homeowners face
